It meaning it “air is in the lines” I have seen other error generate from it while attempting to resolve it. I m not sure why that happens but I have seen it and I tell people to just follow the printer prompts to fix. Call our tech support my concern is the printer thinking the cartridge is empty after putting it back in ..that has already happened to me once Error 990 indicates a dirty sensor, so either a maintenance unit is dirty or you have a clogged print head. Take care not to snag the sleeves of your clothing on the cord (1). Do not touch the feed belt (2). 3. Clean the part indicated in the image below using a damp cloth or cotton tipped applicator. Never use tissues because it can contaminate the maintenance unit with loose fibers.
