How to configure a SMB scan to file destination
Resolution :
  1. Open Scan Manager on the controller.
  2. Click New.
  3. Go to the Destination Properties window. 
  4. Enter a new Destination Name
  5. Select the Type field.
  6. Select SMB
  7. Select the System field.
  8. Enter the name of PC where the scan will be sent.
    (In some cases the system name cannot be resolved by the DNS. If so, enter the IP address).
  9. Select the Path field. 
  10. Enter the name of the Shared folder to be scanned into.
  11. Verify the shared folder on the network PC (destination PC) is configured for full rights and permissions. 
  12. Select the User Name field.
  13. Enter the name of a user for the shared directory to be scanned into.  
    • For a Local user name:  hostnameusername (hostname of the destination workstation) or IP addressusername (IP address of the destination workstation) 
    • For a Domain user name: domainusername
  14. Select Password.
  15. Enter the password of the user using the following format:
    • Select the Path field.
    • Select the Drop Down arrow (all the shared folders on the network PC are displayed).
    • Select the required folder (this also confirms that the user account that was provided is valid).

     16.  Click OK.
