..........
Seeking assistance with my HP plotter. I recently replaced the service station and print carriage. I also downloaded driver (HP DesignJet 500 PCL3GUI 32-bit Driver) and firmware (HP Designjet 500, 510 and 800 Printer series Firmware Upgrade) unto a new pc running XP since the original pc used for printing crashed. The printer displays normal indication and says ready for jobs however when I send a print to the printer it simply shows processing job and the print carriage moves left to right a few times but the jobs does not get printed. Also it seems to just remain in this mode forever (hung) and I will have to power off the printer to get it back to normal ready screen.
Is this a driver/firmware problem or hardware?
Also if I try to print a configuration page it does the same thing.
Thanks in advance.
